1. John Mayer: No, I’m not to be trusted with that stuff. But I do have a private Instagram account. So far, the most number of likes I’ve gotten is 15. I used to be one of the top 10 people on Twitter, 4 million-something followers, and now I’m excited about 15 people liking my photo. I call that progress.

The latest from musician and famous over-sharer John Mayer, in a Q&A in the May 23, 2013 issue of Rolling Stone. Josh Eells asked, “Don’t you miss being in the mix? Tweeting all your jokes?”

I’m not generally a fan of Mayer’s music, but I am weirdly fascinated by his trials and tribulations with social media. Rolling Stone has a habit of asking him about it but then not publishing his answers online.

This is amazing. Just discovered that Kim Albrecht took Forbes’ billionaire data and visualized it. The results, uploaded to visualizing.org, are stunning.

“Girls? Ladies? Folks?” Here’s a visual guide for what you should call different groups of people.
Via Kashmir Hill at Forbes:

If your head hurts every time you have to think about how to generically refer to a person based on the presence or absence of the Y chromosome, you’re in luck. For those not immersed in the study of gender semantics, Hein has created a handy guide for which term to use when. Enjoy, um, folks.
